New SADLE
(New Skill and Development Learning Experience) is an NGO based in Kathmandu,
Nepal was registered with District Administration Office in 1997. New SADLE
was established with a view of curing leprosy-affected people
medically and rehabilitate cured leprosy, polio and other disabled persons by
providing them handicraft skills, which can lead them to financially
sustainable. In the beginning it was established in 1989 in Gaushala, Kathmandu
as Nepra e.v. with the support of some German Volunteers. Since 1997, this was
renamed as New SADLE. The main beneficiaries include those leprosy affected
people who have been "kicked out of their homes/society" for having infected
by leprosy and been forced them to live as beggars.
