Malekhu is a small city, 65 kms away from Kathmandu and is on the way to touristic city of Pokhara. It was started since last year and the clinic is becoming very very popular amongst the poor and needy people of the locality. The clinic is being run with the help and assistance of a local club on Thursdays.

The majority of patients appearing for medical attention are from minority and under privelleged group of Chepang and Tamangs. These hilly people who live near forests commute for more than 5 hours every time they come for checkup.

New SADLE and the local club from Malekhu have recently constructed a small clinic building in Malekhu. Once the construction is fully completed we are expecting to treat more than 200 patients at a time.

The clinic runs within the suburb of Kathmandu valley near Budhanilkantha. The clinic runs every Monday. The patients flow regrettably in this clinic as high as in Malekhu.

Pharping is about 15 kms from the city center and is a holy place for many Hindus. With the experience of Narayasthan clinic not being fully utilized, it is intended to run a parallel clinic in Pharping starting from 16 Feb 04.
